At Spartan Element Kickboxing Academy we are dedicated to providing high quality kickboxing training in a safe and supportive environment. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced kickboxer, our academy offers structured classes and a licensed grading scheme to help you to achieve your kickboxing goals. The style we teach is Cobra freestyle kickboxing and our lead instructor, John, currently holds a 3rd Dan in this discipline and received his instructors certification in July 2017. We are a 'rated excellent' Cobra Martial Arts Association affiliated club.

Licensed Grading Scheme

At Spartan Element Kickboxing Academy we offer a fully licensed grading scheme. As a licensed student you are able to work through our syllabus achieving recognised KYU's and Dans. You will be graded every 3 months (this schedule changes for Dan grades) and you will receive a certificate and belt to celebrate and symbolise your achievement. All grades are registered nationally with the Cobra Martial Arts Association and all black belts will be listed on www.blackbeltregister.co.uk

Pay As You Go Classes

We do not tie our students into overpriced monthly direct debits. Our classes are pay as you go and always will be. Cash, Paypal and direct bank payments are all accepted, payable on entrance to attended sessions.

First taster session FREE

£6.00 per person per session 

We offer a family discount, pay for 3 and up to 2 additional members of the same family train free.  

Training Out Of Ilson Fight Unit

Our host, Ilson Fight Unit is a local, not for profit fully equipped boxing gym on Critchley Street in Ilkeston. Ilson Fight Unit have welcomed Spartan Element into their training family with open arms and we are very excited to see this exciting partnership flourish. With an array of training equipment, a full size boxing ring and even a children's ring at your disposal, your training and sparring experience with Spartan Element Kickboxing Academy will not leave you disappointed.

 

 

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear to a kickboxing class?

We reccomend comfortable workout attire. Most of our students prefer to train barefoot but if you wish to, you can wear trainers. Please remember to always bring a water bottle.

We do offer club t-shirts, attire and merchandise that carry our logo, please use the contact form or ask instructors at sessions for more information on how to order club merchandise.

Is kickboxing suitable for beginners with no prior experience?

Absolutely! Our classes are designed to accommodate individuals from age 4 yrs up to the age you feel fit and able enough to train and we accept students at all skill levels from beginner to advanced.

Where are your sessions held?

Our sessions are held twice weekly on a Tuesday at 8-9pm, Thursday (from 11/07/2024) 8pm - 9pm and on a Saturday at 11:00am-12:00pm at Ilson Fight Unit, Critchley Street, Ilkeston, Derbyshire.

Is there an age restriction?

We welcome students from age 4 years up to as old as you feel fit and able to train.
